The Kinlough Cup is an annual competition between all Leagues on Eyre Peninsula for Under 17 players.

Players selected to represent Whyalla were:-

The team won both of their games to get into the final, defeating Eastern Eyre and Mid West Leagues. The final was played against Lincoln City and this game was won by Lincoln City with the last kick of the game. The Whyalla players acquitted themselves well over the carnival. Final details were:-

Whyalla 6.6 7.9 (51)

Best Players Whyalla:- S.Norman, B.Everett, C.Webster, H.Ward, M.Holmes.
Goal Kickers:- B.Everett 3, M.Holmes, J.Ackland, A.Byles

Other players who performed well throughout the carnival for Whyalla were:- J.Ackland, J.Howard, Bristow and Flanegan.

Players from Whyalla to be selected in the team of the carnival were:-

Chris Webster, Josh Ackland, Scott Norman, Matt Holmes, Brannan Everett.

Coach Mark Stringer was pleased with the teams performance and with 14 of the players eligible to play next year he considers Whyalla will again have a strong side.
