Club Milestones

During Rounds 15 & 16 Craig Nelson had a couple of milestone football weekends. In Round 15 v North on the 14/8/09 Craig played his 150th League Game and in Round 16 v Roopena on the 22/8/09 he played his 100th Reserves Game as well as his 250th Club Game. Craig started his senior career in 1996 and he has kicked 29 League Goals & 31 Reserves Goals. He was made Life Member of the Club in 2005 and the Whyalla Football League in 2007. Craig has also represented Northern Cities and previously has won a Reserves Best & Fairest for the Club

   

On Saturday 8th August during Round 14 v Roopena, Darren Broadbridge played his 50th Club Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football in 2006, after coming to Centrals from West Augusta, Darren has played 7 League Games and 43 Reserves Games & kicked 4 Reserves Goals.

   

On Saturday 2nd August in Round 13, John Horner played his 100th Club Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Having played his Junior Football with Centrals he started his League Career in 2003, John has played 58 League Games & 42 Reserves Games & has also kicked 21 League Goals & 62 Reserves Goals.

   

On Saturday 30th May during Round 7 v West, Simon True played his 150th Reserves Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football in 1995, after also playing his Junior Football with Centrals, Simon has kicked 12 Reserves Goals and is the current Reserves Captain.

   

On Saturday 23rd May during Round 6 v Weeroona Bay, Adrian Huish played his 150th League Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football in 1999, after also playing his Junior Football with Centrals, Adrian has kicked 113 League Goals. Adrian has represented both Whyalla & Northern Cities with distinction.

   

On Saturday 9th May in Round 5, Mark Turner played his 150th League Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football at Centrals in 1994, Mark has also kicked 154 League goals. Mark won the Whyalla News Medal in 2002 & in 2008 was made a Life Member of the Central Whyalla Football Club

   

On Saturday 9th May in Round 5, Cameron Stewart played his 150th Club Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football at Centrals in 2000, Cameron has played 131 League Games and 19 Reserves Games and has kicked 83 League & 9 Reserves goals. Cameron has also represented Whyalla in combined football & has been selected in Whyalla Teams of the year

 

   

On Saturday 2nd May in Round 4, John Horner played his 50th League Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club.
Having played his Junior Football with Centrals he started his League Career in 2003 & has also kicked 21 League Goals.

   

On Friday 24th April in Round 3, Scott Collison played his 100th League Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Having played his Junior Football with Centrals he started his League Career in 2000. Playing mainly at Full Forward he has kicked 399 League Goals. Scott won the WFL League Leading Goal kicker award in 2004, 2005 & 2006. Scott has also represented Whyalla with distinction. His sporting achievements do not end with Football as he is also one of the top cricketers in Whyalla and is the current captain of the Central Whyalla Cricket Club “A” Grade team.

   

During Round 1 on Friday 2nd April 2009 v Weeroona Bay Phil Hillman played his 250th Club Game for the Central Whyalla Football Club. Starting his Senior Football with the Club in 1994 after playing his Junior Football with Centrals, Phil has played 237 League Games & 13 Reserves Games and during this time has kicked 95 League & 13 Reserves. Phil has also represented both Whyalla & Northern Cities with distinction. He was made Life Member of the Central Whyalla Football Club in 2003 & Life Member of the Whyalla Football League in 2006.
